I made the scene with Maya and rendered it with Redshift, inspired by the film Stargate.
I modeled the Stargate in Blender.
For materials, both UVs and triplanar projection were used.
The terrain is based on a heightfield created in Houdini and exported ad an OBJ file.
There are three lights in the scene: the main light is an IBL, with an HDRI. The other two are point light placed in front and behind the event horizon of the stargate.
Materials: mostly from Quixel Megascans.
Postprocessing: Photoshop.
